Reservation
Your reservation is valid and binding upon receipt of written confirmation from Hotel Kerteminde Strand. Guests must be at least 18 years old to reserve a room.
Children under 3 years old stay free of charge if they sleep in a crib or in their parents’ bed.
Dogs are welcome in two of our rooms.
A fee of DKK 200 per stay applies when bringing a dog.
Pricing
Our prices are per room per night, including VAT. The price for your stay is guaranteed once you receive a reservation confirmation via email. We reserve the right to adjust prices in case of changes in taxes and fees.
Cancellation/Change
Refundable Reservation:
If you have selected a refundable reservation, you can cancel or modify your booking until 12:00 local time on the day of arrival. Payment will be made at the time of stay.
Non-refundable Reservation:
A non-refundable reservation cannot be changed or canceled. The amount will be charged to the credit card at the time of booking.
Any cancellation or change must be made in writing to info@hotelkertemindestrand.dk and will only be valid once you have received confirmation from Hotel Kerteminde Strand.
In case of late cancellation or no-show, full payment corresponding to the price of the ordered item will be charged.
If, for reasons not related to force majeure, the hotel is unable to fulfill your reservation, the full amount will be refunded. However, Hotel Kerteminde Strand is not liable for any further compensation.
For reservations of 11 or more rooms, special payment and cancellation conditions apply:
• Prepayment: 25% of the total price is due at the time of booking.
• Final payment: The remaining 75% must be paid no later than 7 days before arrival.
• Cancellation: Until 7 days before arrival, the reservation can be canceled for a fee equivalent to the prepayment (25% of the total price).
• Late cancellation: If canceled less than 7 days before arrival, the full amount for the booking will be charged.
Check-in
The room is available from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10:00 AM on the day of departure.
If the departure time is exceeded, Hotel Kerteminde Strand reserves the right to charge for an extra night at our current rates.
If you have special requests regarding room facilities, please send them by email to info@hotelkertemindestrand.dk. These will be considered confirmed only when you receive a confirmation email from us.
Payment
Payment for the stay is due upon arrival and will be charged to the credit card provided at the time of booking.
We accept the following credit cards: Eurocard, Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and Diners.
When paying with credit cards issued outside the EU or corporate cards, a creditcard fee will be charged.
Parken
It is possible to park one car for free in our parking area at the hotel.
You can reserve a parking space when you book your stay or contact us at info@hotelkertemindestrand.dk.
Your parking reservation is valid from 1:00 PM on the arrival day until 11:00 AM on the departure day. Parking is at your own risk.
Gift Cards
You can purchase a gift card from Hotel Kerteminde Strand by contacting us by phone or email at info@hotelkertemindestrand.dk.
The gift card cannot be exchanged for cash or extended after the expiration date.
You have 14 days to cancel the purchase of a gift card from the date of issuance, provided the gift card has not been redeemed.
Force Majeure
In the event of extreme conditions (force majeure) and/or other extraordinary events that make it impossible to carry out the stay, such as epidemics, pandemics, strikes, quarantine, border closures, war, weather conditions, and similar, Hotel Kerteminde Strand is not liable for compensation.
In case of cancellation due to force majeure, no refund of prepaid stays will be provided, and payment will be charged according to Hotel Kerteminde Strand’s applicable cancellation policy.
Forgotten items
Forgotten items will be sent back upon prepayment of the associated shipping costs. Please note that not all forgotten items are stored for an extended period. Therefore, contact the hotel as soon as possible, if you have left something behind.
Liability for Damages
Please leave the room in good condition. If any damage occurs to the room, we reserve the right to charge for compensation.
Smoking
Smoking is prohibited indoors and on balconies and terraces attached to the rooms. Outdoors, smoking is only allowed in designated areas. A fee of DKK 7,500 will be charged for violating this rule to cover additional cleaning costs, damage repair, and potential activation of smoke alarms, which may result in evacuation of the hotel and emergency services being called.
